Dr. McNemar is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Board Qualified Supervisor. He has obtained the Board Certified Tele-Mental Health Provider certification, which allows him to provide online counseling services. Dr. McNemar has continued training with a specialty area in Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
In 2009, Dr. McNemar graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration. He earned a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling in 2014 and a Doctor of Professional Counseling in 2018, both from Mississippi College. His doctoral research focused on the development of an Attachment Theory-Informed Treatment Model for Couples in which one partner has an Alcohol Use Disorder.
Dr. McNemar is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Mississippi Counseling Association (MCA), American Counseling Association (ACA), Mississippi Licensed Professional Counselors Association (MLPCA), Mississippi Association of Marriage and Family Counselors (MAMFC), and Mississippi Association of Spiritual, Ethical and Religious Values in Counseling (MASERVIC).
Dr. McNemar specializes in working with individuals who struggle with addiction, as well as those who experience depression, anxiety, and OCD. Through psychotherapy, he helps his clients address these challenges and improve their mental health. Dr. McNemar is open to working with individuals from all backgrounds and is committed to learning from his clients.
