I'm Katrina Scott, a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) dedicated to providing compassionate and effective therapy for individuals seeking to improve their mental health and overall well-being. I specialize in helping clients navigate life’s challenges, build resilience, and achieve personal growth through a supportive and collaborative therapeutic process.
I am a Licensed Master Social Worker in Mississippi. Currently, I am receiving clinical supervision toward obtaining my clinical social work license, allowing me to continue enhancing my skills and knowledge to better serve my clients.
I received my Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology from Belhaven University in 2005 and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Jackson State University in 2012. My career has provided me with experience in various settings, including community mental health centers, non-profit organizations, and residential living facilities. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. This diverse background has equipped me with a broad skill set and a deep
understanding of the complexities of mental health and human behavior.
My therapeutic style is grounded in a client-centered approach. I focus on understanding your unique perspective and work with you on setting and achieving your goals. I integrate various evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior
Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy, to tailor our sessions to your specific needs and preferences. I believe in the power of a strong therapeutic relationship as a catalyst for change. My approach
emphasizes empathy, respect, and trust, creating a safe space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, or simply seeking personal development, I am here to support you
on your journey.
I am passionate about empowering individuals to take control of their mental health and embrace their true selves. My goal is to help you uncover your inner strengths and develop practical strategies for overcoming obstacles and achieving your aspirations.
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when you're dealing with the challenges of ADHD, trauma, or emotional stress. Painful experiences, trauma, unhealthy relationships, shame, grief, etc, can create barriers that keep us from experiencing the very things that we
deeply long to experience. Being vulnerable and sharing these experiences is scary, especially when we find it hard to trust. I understand this fear, and I personally know being vulnerable is one of the most courageous things we can do, and a necessary avenue to experience healing. If you’re ready to take the first step toward positive change or if you have any questions about my practice, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I offer a free initial consultation to discuss your needs and determine if we’re a good fit. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you and
support you in achieving your goals.
In recognition of the busy lives many people lead, I offer flexible telehealth sessions during evenings and after hours. This allows you to access quality therapy from the comfort of your home, at times that fit your schedule. Whether you're managing a hectic work week or balancing
family responsibilities, my telehealth services are designed to accommodate your needs and provide you with convenient and effective support.
